Care Policy

Scheduling and Communication

Our preferred means of communication is by telephone.

This allows us to clarify your request and give your appointment needs appropriate priority.

We encourage time with your practitioner and scheduled reviews to help us get to know you in good health and manage your health concerns in a timely manner.

We do not use email communication for discussion of  medical matters.  If you have a question or clarification before your next scheduled visit it’s best to call early in the day and schedule phone consultation.

Therapy, including yoga therapy, is for a period agreed by you when you are self-referred, and in agreement with your health professional whenever you are receiving concurrent care.  All therapy concerns and clarifications are addressed within the consultation.

Please schedule your consultations with your practitioner before you leave the practice and call 08 6255 8222 to reschedule.

Prescriptions, Referrals and Results 

These are matters for discussion in your scheduled Health Reviews.

If you wish to discuss an aspect of medical care or have a health concern before your next scheduled review call 08 6255 8222 and schedule a Telehealth or Health Review.

Health Promotion Activities

With your permission we may enrol you in government registers for recommended age specific screenings and investigations. Please act on this advice in a timely manner so that we can maintain accurate records.

A no reply email is sent if your result is normal and can be discussed at your scheduled review.  An SMS is sent for abnormal results requiring treatment within 7-10 days.  You will receive a call directly followed by an SMS when a result requires immediate attention.

Re-Scheduling 

Please try to keep your scheduled time and reschedule at least seven days in advance so that your time can be offered to another patient waiting to be seen.

If you must cancel and reschedule because of an emergency please give us maximum notice.

A cancellation fee is incurred for cancellations made within 72 business hours.

Outside Scheduled Hours Care

If you have an emergency that cannot wait until our scheduled hours dial 000 and go directly to hospital.  For crisis support call Lifeline 13 11 14. 

Interpreter

Please advise our team at the time of scheduling consultations if you wish to use an interpreter including for needs based on your cultural background.

Payment

A registration fee is payable before your first consultation is scheduled. This is redeemable at your first consultation. Common fees are explained by our reception team and in registration documents.  Fees are paid in full at the time of the consultation and where applicable Medicare Rebates are submitted by us if you are registered with Medicare.

There are currently no third party payments for Therapy.

Privacy and Confidentiality

We place a high priority on privacy and confidentiality of your health information.  We abide by the APP Privacy Policy.  Your health information is stored securely and is confidential unless you authorise its release or it is required by law. We use CCTV in our foyer for our security and your protection.

Location 

We are located on the ground floor at 2/124 Stirling Hwy, North Fremantle.  Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time and we will endeaviour to see you on time.

There three bays under our building accessed from Pamment Street as well as one disabled bay further along on the left.  The lift is opposite the three parking bays and operates without a code during our business hours.

Parking is also available on Pamment Street, Thompson Road and Coventry Parade.
